

Roadone is an all-steel radial truck and bus tyre brand made by Tongli Tyre Co., Ltd in Yanzhou, a district of Jining in Shandong. Tongli belongs to Hixih Rubber Industry Group, founded in 1989. The Roadone name was registered in 2003, and the business has worked with Pirelli on truck tyres since 2005. Tongli was expanding towards 4 million tyres a year from 2017.

Hixih Rubber Industry Group was set up in 1989 and has more than 10,000 staff across over 10 subsidiaries. Besides tyres it makes conveyor belting in a venture with Continental and steel cord in a venture with Bekaert. The group also has power generation, real estate and healthcare businesses. Roadone is its own tyre brand, registered in 2003.
Pirelli signed a joint venture with Roadone Tyre in June 2005 and took 60 percent. The Yanzhou truck tyre plant opened that October with a planned capacity above 1.2 million tyres a year. Pirelli's release at the time described Roadone Tyre as part of Yinhe Group. In 2018 Pirelli agreed to buy 49 percent of Jining Shenzhou Tyre, the Hixih car tyre company in the same industrial park.
In July 2017 Hixih announced investment of nearly RMB 6 billion in its two tyre subsidiaries. Of that, RMB 2.4 billion went to Tongli to double all-steel truck radial capacity from 2 million to 4 million tyres a year. Tyrepress reported Tongli turnover of 339 million US dollars in 2016 and 608 million in 2017.

Published road tests cover long-haul motorway tractors, mixed-road general cargo at 49 tonnes and overloaded coal haulage in Yunnan. The tested long-haul size is 295/80R22.5. The maker states that the casings use its HBW bead wire, 3SB belt package and DTL compound, aimed at mileage, retreadability and low heat build-up.

The manufacturer states that Roadone tyres are built to DOT and ECE standards. It lists building and curing equipment from VMI of the Netherlands and other European and US suppliers.
Commercial Tyre Business reported that the current Roadone truck range launched in China in August 2018. Tongli showed it outside China for the first time at Tyrexpo Asia in Singapore in March 2019, with a European launch planned. Most published fleet tests are on Chinese domestic routes, including Dongying to Xi'an and motorways around Guangzhou.
