

Torque is a British-owned private brand, not a Chinese factory brand. It belongs to TIA (GB) Ltd of Telford, Shropshire, and is distributed by its wholesale arm TIA Tyres. Treadsetters, part of the TIA group, launched it as a truck tyre line in July 2011 and added car and van tyres in 2012. The tyres are made under contract in China and Vietnam.

Tyrepress reported the Torque truck range on 26 July 2011 as a Treadsetters private brand built at a factory in China. It was positioned beside the Hifly range that Treadsetters already distributed. In April 2012 the company announced Torque car, UHP and van tyres for launch at the Reifen 2012 show. The opening range had 16 summer car sizes, 15 winter car sizes and seven UHP sizes.
The EU label for the TQ021 in 195/65R15 names Shandong Changfeng Tire Co., Ltd of Guangrao County as manufacturer. Changfeng also publishes a Torque catalogue on its own website next to its house brands. On 18 April 2024 TIA Tyres said the full Torque truck and bus portfolio is now made in Vietnam. Managing director Hong Pei said the move was intended to make the products more affordable.
Passenger car and UHP. TQ021 is the standard summer car tyre and TQ901 the UHP summer tyre. TQ022, TQ023 and TQ026 are winter patterns and TQ025 is the all-season pattern.
4x4 and SUV. The 701 family covers 4x4 use: TQ-HP701 performance, TQ-HT701 highway, TQ-AT701 all-terrain and TQ-MT701 mud-terrain. TQ-WT701 and TQ-WP702 are the winter SUV patterns.
Van. TQ-02 and TQ-05 are summer van tyres. TQ-7000AS is the all-season van tyre. WTQ5000 and WTQ6000 are winter van tyres.
Truck and bus (TBR). The current truck range has five patterns: TQ-TS1, TQ-R1S, TQ-R1D, TQ-M1A and TQ-M1D. A legacy range with codes such as TQ111, TQ660, TQ768, FTL311 and FDR255 is still listed for long haul, regional and mixed service.

Torque car tyres are registered in the EU EPREL label database. The TQ021 in 195/65R15 95H XL is graded D for fuel efficiency, D for wet grip and 72 dB for noise.
The brand's own site says Torque is sold in over 80 countries through the TIA Tyres network. Tyrepress quoted more than 90 trading-partner countries in 2024. UK and continental retailers such as Oponeo and reifen.com list the car, van and 4x4 lines.
Torque is bought through TIA Tyres in Telford rather than from a factory. Car tyres have been labelled by Shandong Changfeng Tire in Guangrao, the maker of Hifly, while truck tyres have come from Vietnam since April 2024.
