Boto is the name-bearing brand of Shandong Wanda Boto Tyre Co., Ltd, a tyre maker in Dongying, Shandong that belongs to China Wanda Group. The brand debuted in 2004 with all-steel truck and bus radials, then added radial OTR tyres and, from 2011, passenger car and light truck lines. Russia was its largest market in 2012, taking around 80,000 truck tyres in the year to October.

Boto started as a truck tyre producer. In 2009 Tyrepress reported capacity of more than 1.5 million truck and bus tyres and 30,000 radial OTR tyres a year. It then had over 2,000 staff and exported to more than 90 countries. That year the company announced an expansion worth about 1 billion yuan. It covered a 15 million unit passenger car radial plant, more truck capacity and a larger OTR line.
By October 2012 truck and bus radial capacity had reached 2.1 million units a year and passenger radial output 5 million. The second OTR phase, focused on 25 to 33 inch tyres, was finished in March 2012. The company then said it ranked twelfth or thirteenth among Chinese tyre makers. In 2018 it reported ten consecutive years among the top 75 global tyre manufacturers.
In April 2017 Boto signed a memorandum with the Malacca state government for a 60,000 square metre tyre plant in Jasin, Malaysia. The stated investment was 1.2 billion ringgit. No completion of that plant could be confirmed. In January 2024 Tyrepress listed a Wanda Boto new energy vehicle tyre project among projects being prepared in Dongying.

Radial OTR. Radial off-the-road tyres for mining, quarry and construction machines. The second-phase OTR line concentrated on 25 to 33 inch rim diameters.
Passenger car and SUV. Vantage and Genesys summer car lines from 13 to 20 inch. For SUVs there is the Sasqua H/T highway tyre in 15 to 20 inch and the X-Terrain BA80+ all-terrain tyre. Winter patterns carry BS codes.
Van and light truck. The Brawn BR01 covers 14 to 16 inch commercial sizes from 185R14 to 235/65R16.

The company profile for Boto lists CCC, TS 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, DOT, ECE, GCC and INMETRO approvals. In 2012 Boto said its truck tyres had been tested by a UK third party for compliance with the European type approval rules.
In the UK, retreader Bandvulc began wholesaling Boto truck and bus radials in 2012 and sold them to fleets through Bandvulc Tyre Contracts. Boto also named Germany, Spain, Denmark, Poland, Ukraine and Slovenia as markets then, with Hammerling as its long-standing German partner. Boto car and SUV tyres have been listed by retailers in Spain, the UK and New Zealand.
