The Amberstone name belongs to Xingyuan Tire Group Co., Ltd, which filed it as a US trademark in December 2015. Annaite, Qiangwei and Guangda were filed at the same time. The parent started tyre production in 1994 and now covers three segments: OTR, truck and bus radials, and passenger car radials.
Off-the-road tyres are the part of the business with outside technical input. According to the China Rubber Industry Association, Xingyuan and Yokohama began working together in 2012 and jointly developed large engineering tyres. In March 2019 the two companies signed a further agreement on OTR technology. Xingyuan also makes OTR, TBR and PCR tyres on an OEM basis.

Tyrepress reported in 2019 that Xingyuan products carry DOT, ECE, REACH, R117, GCC and SONCAP approvals, and that the group works to ISO 16949. Amberstone OTR tyres are marked with TRA codes such as L-5, L-5S and IND-4 and with star ratings for load capacity.
