The Hengfeng group dates from 1995. In 2020 it reorganised its factories into three legally separate subsidiaries. They are Shandong Yongfeng Tyre in Linyi, and Shandong Changfeng Tire and Mirage Tires in Dongying. European Rubber Journal reported that no plants moved. Changfeng received two Dongying plants with capacity for 12 million passenger car tyres a year.
European Rubber Journal ranked Hengfeng 20th among world tyre makers in 2019, with sales of 1.8 billion US dollars. Changfeng's own company profile describes the wider group as six plants in Dongying and Linyi with more than 10,000 employees. It gives yearly output of 6 million truck and bus radials and 30 million car tyres, exported to over 120 countries.
Since the split, Shandong Changfeng Tire has been the named supplier on EU tyre label registrations for Hifly passenger patterns. One example is the HF201 in 215/65R16, placed on the EU market from April 2021. The registration is filed through an authorised representative.
