Yellow Sea Rubber was the first Shandong tyre company to list on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, on 8 July 2002. A Qingdao government profile describes a 660,000 square metre rubber industrial park with a national technical centre. It credits the company with more than 150 specifications and more than 400 tyre types.
The business belonged to ChemChina's rubber group with Aeolus, Double Happiness and Torch. In June 2016 European Rubber Journal reported that Aeolus would take 100 percent of Qingdao Yellowsea Rubber. At that point the plant had capacity for 1.2 million truck and bus tyres a year. It lost 7.8 million euros on revenue of 90 million euros in 2015.
The Aeolus period was short. On 3 December 2018 Aeolus announced the sale of all its Yellow Sea shares and receivables to Qingdao Huanghai Rubber Group for 80.08 million yuan. The buyer was established in 2013.
Truck and bus (TBR). All-steel radials are the core product. The 2016 transfer to Aeolus described Yellow Sea as a truck and bus tyre subsidiary.
Light truck and passenger car. The Qingdao profile lists light truck and passenger car radials as the second product group.

US retailer SimpleTire lists the brand as Yellow Sea and states that it holds DOT, ECE and ISO 9001 certification. The same listing names YS07, YS08 and YS11 as its popular commercial patterns.
Huanghai tyres originate in Qingdao, not at the Aeolus plants in Henan and Shanxi. Since the December 2018 sale the brand is outside the Aeolus group, so buyers should confirm the current producer before ordering.
