The Kpatos name was filed as a United States trademark for automobile tyres on 26 January 2016 by Weifang Shunfuchang Rubber and Plastic Products. Shunfuchang was founded in Shouguang in 1994. Its export arm, Qingdao Sunfulcess Tyre, has operated since 2015 and sells Kpatos alongside the Firemax brand.
Radial tyre production in the group sits with Shouguang Firemax Tire, set up in 2011 in the Yangkou industrial park of Shouguang's Binhai development zone. Firemax states a designed capacity of 12 million semi-steel and 1 million all-steel radials a year. The China Rubber Industry Association ranked Firemax 22nd among Chinese tyre makers on 2023 revenue of 4.716 billion yuan.
In April 2024 Firemax broke ground on a factory in a special economic zone in Kratie province, Cambodia. The announced investment was 190 million US dollars for 8 million semi-steel and 1.2 million all-steel radials a year. The US tyre regulator lists the Cambodian company at Snuol.
Passenger car and UHP. The FM601 asymmetric summer pattern covers 13 to 19 inch fitments, from 155/65R13 73T to 275/45ZR19 108Y XL. The KT6000 is listed in 19 inch Y-rated sizes and the KT3000 as a car pattern. FM518 is sold for cars and SUVs.
All-season and winter. Crossweather MAX is the all-season car line in 15 to 18 inch sizes, with a Crossweather Van variant. Winter patterns run in the FM805, FM806, FM808 and FM809 series, the FM809 in C-type van sizes. FM523 is listed as an all-season car and SUV pattern.
Van and light truck. FM913 and FM916 are the summer van patterns stocked by UK and Irish retailers.

In the United Kingdom and Ireland Kpatos is sold through online and fitting retailers including Just Tyres, Arnold Clark Autoparts and Grip500. Just Tyres classes it as a mid-range brand.
