Tyrepress reported in 2016 that Neolin was a newly introduced brand aimed at European customers, alongside the group's flag brand Duraturn. The tyres are developed at the same Shaanxi factory. Passenger tyre development there was then led by Professor Dong Maohua, a former chief engineer at Shandong Linglong.
The maker is the tyre subsidiary of the Yanchang Petroleum oil group and dates from December 2008. It began with truck radials and added a semi-steel line later, planned to reach 16 million car and light truck tyres a year. The first phase is rated at 8 million semi-steel tyres. The parent group also produces synthetic rubber and has natural rubber plantations in Thailand.
